ARCBALL

Arcball was our attempt at an old-school arcade game. This was made for a class that was all about custom interfaces, and we built some trackball controllers, and a pinball launcher for it.

The trackballs just use a simple mouse infrared sensor to track the movement from the ball, and the pinball launcher uses a HALL-sensor. We had some troubles separating the two inputs from the different trackballs in unity, as it usually combines multiple mouse inputs to one.

as for gameplay, we went with a multiplayer arena game, in which you have to shoot and dodge and catch a ball, to try and knock down the lives of your opponent. Graphically, we tried to go really vaporwave/80's with it, and thanks to Lisa, all the art came together beautifully.
